Enlightening Relationships
Enlightening Relationships is the second annual conference in the series, Enlightening Conversations: Buddhism and Psychoanalysis, Meeting in Person. These conferences are structured in-depth dialogues about important topics that impact our human experience. While many conferences and books have explored the interface of Buddhism and psychoanalysis, Enlightening Conversations breaks new ground in bringing presenters and participants together to engage in impromptu conversations on the most challenging topics, concepts and issues of their disciplines. After establishing some common ground, presenters and participants address each other in both plenary and small-group forums. At Enlightening Relationships well broach important and difficult topics to open a fresh understanding of our most cherished and vulnerable relationships to each other, to ourselves, and to life itself.
As you read the website, take your time to look into the details of the small groups as they interact with the plenary panels. Choose your small group based on your interests and the questions you have about relationships in your personal and professional lives. Future conferences will enlighten science, ethics, religion, community and death/dying in various locations throughout the USA. Check the website periodically for details about Enlightening Science to be held in Boston in October, 2010.
